Bird Order

In ornithology, the classification of birds is organized hierarchically, with "order" being one of the major levels in this taxonomy.

A bird order is a broad classification that groups together families of birds sharing certain fundamental characteristics. Orders are then subdivided into families, which consist of genera (plural of genus), and species, the most specific level of classification.

Each bird order represents a diverse group of birds with common traits that differentiate them from birds in other orders.
